Job summary

Superior Skilled Trades is seeking an experienced 5-Axis CNC Programmer for a direct-hire role in the Hebron, KY area. You will develop, optimize, and maintain complex aerospace machining programs on Makino machines, using Mastercam, and Vericut for verification.

You will collaborate with engineering and production to meet tight tolerances, read GD&T, and drive quality improvements on 1st shift, Monday to Friday, with pay between $80k and $90k plus benefits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of CNC programming experience with a strong focus on aerospace manufacturing.
• Proven experience programming complex 5-axis parts for aerospace applications.
• Proficiency in Mastercam (advanced multi-axis required).
• Experience with Vericut for program verification.
• Hands-on experience with high-performance Makino machining centers.

Responsibilities

• Develop, write, and optimize CNC programs for complex aerospace components using 5-axis Mastercam.
• Create and refine multi-axis toolpaths for intricate geometries and hard-to-machine materials.
• Program and support CNC lathes with live tooling for mill-turn aerospace applications.
• Assist in setup, prove-out, and validation on Makino centers and CNC lathes.
• Perform simulation and verification using Vericut to ensure collision-free processes.
• Interpret aerospace drawings, CAD models, and GD&T with high accuracy.
• Select tooling and machining parameters optimized for aerospace tolerances.
• Troubleshoot machining and programming issues to meet strict quality standards.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production to meet requirements.
• Maintain program documentation and revision control per aerospace standards.
• Drive continuous improvement in cycle times, tool life, and reliability.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and aerospace standards.
