This on-site, full-time role focuses on integrating advanced aeronautical systems across multi-network environments to support mission-critical outcomes.

Responsibilities include collaborating with software, system, and hardware engineers; ensuring testing and integration in the correct environments; and mentoring

Qualifications

  • Active US Government clearance or eligibility for one
  • Ability to obtain SAP clearance within a reasonable time
  • Experience in system test, software integration, and/or systems engineering across Linux/Windows environments

There is no remote / hybrid / telework available for this position. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assisting software development personnel with investigating and resolving issues.
  • Develop configurations to support testing and prototyping of developing systems.
  • Develop troubleshooting procedures and work-around documents.
  • Review and provide feedback on system specifications, development, test, and network documents as necessary, and represent the Integration team.
  • Working knowledge of virtualized environments and software testing.
  • Work in development, lab, and operational environments.
  • Ensuring integration and testing of components in complex system are happening in the appropriate environment.
  • Perform integration and troubleshooting of software components across multiple networks interfacing with customer SMEs.
  • Ensure that through documentation is created and maintained to allow others to integrate in the future.
  • Facilitate collaboration with software developers, system engineers, hardware engineers, and integration/test engineers to diagnose and identify the root cause of problems found during software installation, integration, acceptance test, and operational events.
Basic Qualifications for Level 2
  • Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline AND 2 years of related professional/military experience to include a background in engineering, OR a Master's degree AND 0 years of related professional/military experience to include a background in engineering.
Basic Qualifications for Level 3
  • Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline AND 5 years of related professional/military experience to include a background in engineering, OR a Master's degree AND 3 years of related professional/military experience to include a background in engineering, OR a Ph.D. AND 1 year of related professional/military experience to include a background in engineering.
Basic Qualifications for Both Levels
  • Must have an active US Government clearance (with a background investigation within the past 6 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.
  • Experience in system test, software integration, software development, and/or systems engineering, including hands‑on testing and integration of software and hardware in Linux and Windows environments.
  • Experience using formal software development life cycle methodologies from requirements through test.
  • Familiarity with software network interfaces.
  • Ability to obtain CompTIA Security+ certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Current applicable Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.
  • Working knowledge of software network interfaces.
  • Experience in automation of installation, configuration and test.
  • Experience in Agile methodologies.
  • Experience in Agile Systems Engineering Experience.
  • Demonstrated communication and technical writing skills.
  • Experience with Confluence and JIRA.
  • Experience with scripting languages (developing, debugging and maintaining).
  • Security+ Certified.
Salary Range

Primary Level Salary Range: $91,800.00 - $137,600.00 Secondary Level Salary Range: $114,000.00 - $171,000.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.

Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.

Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.

In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
