General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) is seeking an Aeroelasticity and Dynamics Engineering Supervisor in Poway, CA.

The role leads a team focused on analysis, prediction, and validation of air vehicle aeroelastic stability for unmanned systems throughout the lifecycle. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Loads and Dynamics, you will oversee FEM/NASTRAN/MATLAB-based analyses, drive modeling standards, and coordinate with structures, flight controls, and certification to ensure

Qualifications

Requires a bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD in engineering with progressive experience.
Experience with aeroelasticity, dynamics, and related analyses.
Ability to lead teams and coordinate workloads.
Strong communication and presentation skills for interdepartmental interfaces.
Ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

Lead aeroelasticity and dynamics engineers and provide technical direction.
Plan and coordinate workloads to meet cost, schedule, and technical objectives.
Develop and apply structural dynamic, aeroelastic, and aeroservoelastic models for integrated simulations.
Guide static and dynamic aeroelastic analyses and stability assessments.
Ensure integration with related disciplines (structures, flight controls, certification).
Define test requirements and correlate models with ground and flight test data.
