BETA Technologies in South Burlington, VT is seeking a Senior Structural Dynamics Engineer to own structural dynamics, vibration, and aeroelastic model integration for an advanced narrowbody aircraft. Hybrid remote options are considered with monthly South Burlington visits.

Responsibilities include building FEM models, defining analysis plans, assessing coupled dynamics, and guiding design requirements while mentoring other engineers. Strong leadership and aeroelastic expertise are essential.

Qualifications

• Seven or more years of structural dynamics, vibration, aeroelasticity, or aircraft dynamic-test experience.
• Deep understanding of modal analysis, damping, and model correlation.
• Demonstrated leadership across multidisciplinary aircraft-development interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of mass- and stiffness-representative finite element models for modal, vibration, and aeroelastic analyses.
• Define the structural-dynamics analysis plan, interfaces, and quality checks.
• Assess coupled wing, pylon, propulsion, and airframe dynamics including open-fan and whirl-flutter risk.
• Translate analysis results into design requirements for stiffness, mass, damping, and instrumentation.
• Plan ground and component vibration tests and model-correlation activities.
• Coordinate models with Loads, Aeroelasticity, Flight Controls, Propulsion, Stress, and Design teams.
