Job summary

PROENERGY in Sedalia, MO seeks a Gas Turbine Design Engineer to lead the design and release of gas turbine components for LM6000/LM2500 aeroderivative engines, and to perform risk assessments before production. You will interface with manufacturing and supply chain to ensure parts are designed for manufacturability, and you will review engineering drawings and support analysis as part of design reviews.

The role requires a 1–3 year mechanical design background and fluent English; US work

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• 1–3 years of mechanical design experience.
• Experience reviewing or releasing engineering drawings.
• Fluent in English; US work authorization required.
• Ability to perform hand calculations to assess risk.
• Interfacing with manufacturing and supply chain is required.

Responsibilities

• Design gas turbine parts for aeroderivative turbines (LM6000/LM2500).
• Manufacturing processes of gas turbine parts for aeroderivative turbines (LM6000/LM2500).
• Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain and Quality during manufacturing or procurement.
• Lead third-party design consultants for detailed design of gas turbine parts.
• Maintain compliance with engineering codes, standards and regulations.
• Interface as technical authority with field service team for gas turbine parts.
