Job summary

A leading aerospace services company in Phoenix is seeking an experienced Aero-Sr. Software Engineer to work on flight mapping systems (FMS). Aero-Sr. Software Engineer-Flight Mapping Systems

• Contract

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to work in our Aerospace division with flight mapping systems (FMS).

Requirements:

• FMS flight planning knowledge
• NG if possible
• Ability to identify testing scenarios with variations for different programs
• Ability to determine expected results
• Possibly beyond flight planning, later to cover other aspects of FMS f. Analysis of test results

Tool Development – Code

• Tool library code involves C++ code development
• Fmspy code changes involving C++ code
• JART tool code in VB.NET

The above is not going to be huge once the tooling is done its mostly scripting.

Tool Development – Scripting

• Ability to understand systems engineering output and to develop scripts using JART scripting language.
• Past scripting experience a MUST, possibly using different scripting languages.
• Ability learn quickly the JART environment and scripting language.
• Some FMS understanding will help as they need to bridge the gap between systems engineers and the tools.

Testing

• Execution of testing
• Collections of results
• Some Analysis of results and possibly troubleshoot the problem to a point where the issue can be handed off to others.
• A self starter and a strong leader who can follow thru with only general direction
• Broad understanding of the issue
• FMS Knowledge, strongly prefer NG knowledge due to architecture difference.
• Understand the NG debug and test environment Timekeeping is echarge, no hours should be entered directly into FG for processing.
