Job summary

Hanwha Power is seeking a talented Aerodynamics and Durability Engineer to join our team in Town of Florida, New York. The role involves designing and analyzing axial turbine components to meet aerodynamic and durability criteria, using advanced CFD tools. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and at least 5 years of relevant experience, including proficiency in commercial CFD software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in design and analysis of axial turbine components.
• Experience in commercial CFD software such as Star-CCM+, ANSYS CFX or Fluent.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze axial turbine components to meet aerodynamic criteria.
• Perform throughflow and mean-line analysis of gas turbine compressors.
• Incorporate secondary air flow into 3D CFD analysis for design verification.

Skills

Design and analysis of axial turbine components

Commercial CFD software (Star-CCM+, ANSYS CFX or Fluent)

Strong modeling skills

Ability to perform 1D hand calculations

Mentoring and training skills

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
