MasTec Communications Group is hiring an Aerial Lineman Trainee to support all phases of telecom construction. You will learn to place aerial and buried cables, connect wires, and perform various tasks on poles and in conduits, joining a safety-minded, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Safety is a day-to-day priority.
• Proven track record of quality workmanship.
• Hands-on problem-solving with minimal supervision.
• Seeking long-term projects.
• Team player who enjoys getting hands dirty.
• Experienced Lineman with knowledge of aerial work equipment.
• Valid driver's license with ability to obtain DOT med card (CDL preferred).
• Experience placing telecom cable (copper and fiber).

Responsibilities

• Support all phases of utility construction for telecom projects.
• Assist Lineman in completing duties.
• Place aerial/buried telecom cable (copper and fiber).
• Connect wires and cables to terminals and attach/detach hardware.
• Perform aerial tasks: cable installs, pole transfers, strand building, cable hanging, lashing.
• Dig holes, place cable, air pipe, and inner duct in conduit systems.
• Climb utility poles or operate an aerial lift truck to place cables as designed.
