Job summary

MasTec Communications Group is seeking an Aerial Lineman Trainee to support telecom construction projects. You will learn on the job in a safety-minded environment, assisting with cable installations, pole work, and conduit placement.

You should be ready for hands-on field tasks, thrive in a team setting, and commit to long-term projects. A valid driver's license is required, and CDL is preferred where applicable.

Qualifications

• Safety is a daily practice and a must.

• Experience with aerial work and bucket trucks a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support the Lineman in completing duties.
• Assist in placing aerial/buried telecom cable (Copper and fiber).
• Connect wires and cables to terminals and hardware on poles/buildings.
• Perform aerial tasks such as cable installs, pole transfers, strand building, and cable hanging.
• Assist in general construction tasks like digging, trenching, and duct installation.
• Climb poles or operate an aerial lift to install cables per design.
