Job summary

TriTechne in Missouri is seeking an Aerial Lineman II – Telecom to install, maintain, and repair aerial fiber optic and coaxial networks. This role requires technical expertise in overhead telecom construction and the ability to mentor entry-level linemen.

You will work with foreman and crew to complete projects safely, efficiently, and to industry standards, with on-call rotation and outdoor work in all weather.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Mentorship ability and teamwork skills are essential.
• Strong problem-solving and independent field work capabilities are needed.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions and travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain aerial fiber optic and coaxial cables, strand, and hardware on utility poles.
• Perform strand, anchor, cable lashing, mid-span work, and other advanced construction tasks.
• Troubleshoot and repair damaged aerial cables, including emergency response repairs.
• Safely operate bucket trucks and work at heights up to 25–30 feet using ladders or fall protection.
• Read and interpret construction prints, work orders, and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with the Aerial Foreman to coordinate work and meet project schedules.
• Follow OSHA, NESC, and company safety standards, including PPE and traffic control requirements.
• Provide training and mentorship to Aerial Lineman I employees.
• Participate in an on-call rotation schedule, responding to after-hours service needs or emergency repairs as required.
