Job summary

SupportFinity™ in the United States seeks a skilled lineman to install and relocate aerial and underground cable, support line crews, and uphold safety standards. This role requires physical endurance, the ability to climb poles, and willingness to travel as needed.

Candidates must have a valid driver's license (CDL A preferred) and 2+ years of lineman experience, plus on-site certification. English fluency is required.

Qualifications

  • Must have valid driver's license (CDL A preferred) with a clean driving record.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a lineman; knowledge to detect safety issues.
  • Pre-employment on-site certification required.
  • All applicants must speak English fluently and clearly.

Responsibilities

  • Performs all duties according to prescribed safety procedures and uses appropriate safety equipment.
  • Installs and/or relocates aerial and underground cable including fiber optic, transportation, distribution and drop cable, meeting industry standards and doing so in a timely, cost-efficient manner.
  • Provides support for line crews during all phases of construction activity.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities


  • Performs all duties according to prescribed safety procedures and uses appropriate safety equipment.

  • Installs and/or relocates aerial and underground cable including fiber optic, transportation, distribution and drop cable. Ensures that it meets industry standards, is technically reliable and performed in timely and cost efficient manner.

  • Provides support for line crews during all phases of construction activity.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities


  • Must be able to climb pole to cable height using pole climber gaffs.

  • Must be able to lift, reach, dig and carry heavy objects; with frequent lifting up to 50 pounds and infrequent lifting of up to 100 pounds.

  • This position requires significant time doing manual labor functions, walking on uneven ground, working in tight spaces and in general, being overall physically demanding. Must be able to perform heavy physical work and perform duties in a safe and efficient manner.

  • Work up to 6 days per week in an all-weather environment and be willing to travel as required.

  • All applicants must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test, random testing will be completed after date of hire.

  • Must pass a customer-driven background check.

  • All applicants must follow safety guidelines and wear personal protective equipment at all times.


Education & Experience


  • Current valid driver's license (preferably a CDL A) with a clean driving record is required.

  • 2+ years of experience as a lineman and have the knowledge to detect power space violations and safety issues

  • A pre-employment, on-site certification will be required. The applicant must successfully show that he/she can complete the duties as described within this document to the satisfaction of the construction supervision

  • All applicants must speak the English language fluently and clearly
