Job summary

GTS in Canton, GA, is seeking an Aerial Line Person to install, maintain, and repair telecommunications equipment. The role requires climbing poles, handling coax, strand, and fiber, and using aerial lift devices with limited supervision.

You must be 21+, have a clean driving record, pass background and drug screenings, and obtain a DOT medical certificate. Bucket trucks and tools are provided to support field work nationwide.

Qualifications

• Able to climb poles as needed.
• Able to splice coax cable.
• Able to build aerial plants including strand, coax, and fiber.
• Able to complete pole transfers.
• Coax splicing experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair telecommunications equipment in customer locations.
• Access specific areas to perform tasks with minimal supervision.
• Identify and troubleshoot problems in aerial systems and cabling.
• Operate and coordinate with bucket trucks and other provided tools.

About the Role

A successful Aerial Line Person (Aerial Construction Lineman) shall access specific areas to install, maintain, and/or repair a customer's telecommunications equipment. At a minimum, the position requires a good working knowledge of telecommunications construction; familiarity with aerial lift devices, utility lines and poles, and the functionality of each; ability to use cable placement equipment... and tools; ability to identify and troubleshoot problems.

Requirements

• Must be 21 or older
• Have a good driving record
• Able to pass Background and Drug screening

• Able to work with minimal supervision and complete tasks assigned in a timely manner
