Job summary

MP Nexlevel, LLC is seeking an experienced overhead line worker in Salinas, CA. You will set poles, install anchors, and inspect and repair overhead power and telecom lines. You must climb poles or towers and operate bucket trucks to access equipment and read technical plans.

Responsibilities include testing electrical components, following safety regulations, and completing paperwork. A valid driver's license, DOT health card, and at least 6 months of verifiable experience are required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 6 months verifiable experience.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Valid DOT Health Card.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical safety, safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Ability to communicate and listen effectively with customers, employees, etc.
  • Basic knowledge and ability to operate hand tools, equipment and vehicles safely.

Job description

Responsibilities

  • Test electrical equipment and components for proper operations
  • Read and interpret technical plans, blueprints and diagrams
  • Follow all company and departmental procedures and regulations including all safety requirements
  • Safety training as required by position
  • Paperwork filing and maintenance as needed
Essential Education And Qualifications
  • Minimum of 6 months verifiable experience
  • Valid drivers license
  • Valid DOT Health Card
  • Strong knowledge of electrical safety, safety regulations and industry standards
  • Ability to communicate and listen effectively with customers, employees, etc.
  • Basic knowledge and ability to operate hand tools, equipment and vehicles in a safe manner
Preferred Skill
  • Class A Driver’s License (CDL)
Physical Demands
  • Must be able to endure activity involved with the job which may include prolonged and repeated lifting, bending, crouching, climbing, kneeling, reaching, holding, standing and walking
  • Must be able to work in an outdoor environment and be regularly exposed to outside weather conditions
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds
