Job summary

Utilities One Group in Charlotte, NC is seeking Aerial Linemen to join our growing North Carolina operations. You will apply aerial construction and maintenance skills to install fiber optics, perform pole work, and support fast-paced field projects.

Travel to various job sites, lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and operate lifts, trucks, and related gear. CDL is preferred; we provide tools, a company vehicle, and weekly payments as you help keep telecom networks online.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required.
• Cable placement experience preferred.
• Must be able to travel frequently to multiple sites.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in all weather.
• CDL is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Install aerial & underground telecommunications cabling, including fiber optics.
• Undertake pole removal & pole transfers, and set & install new aerial cables.
• Safely operate specific equipment and machinery.
• Operate hydraulic aerial lifts and ladders mounted to trucks.
• Keep a detailed record of work activity.
• Travel to different job sites within the market.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• A valid and unrestricted Driver's License;
• Previous Cable Placement experience;
• Ability to travel to different job sites very frequently;
• Ability to lift around 50 pounds, safely climb ladders, and work in all weather conditions;
• CDL is preferred.
