Job summary

XKIG in Indiana is seeking an Aerial Lift Trimmer to trim, prune, and remove trees using a bucket truck and related gear. The role emphasizes safety, weather resilience, and attention to detail in utility vegetation work.

Experience with knots, rigging, tree species identification, and near-electrical hazards is preferred. A high school diploma and CPR/first aid certification are desirable; travel for storm restoration may be required.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate working knowledge of knots, ropes and rigging devices used in tree trimming/removal.
• Must be able to identify tree species.
• Must be familiar with electrical hazards and procedures near conductors.
• Must be able to work at heights under varying weather conditions.
• Must obtain and maintain first-aid certification and CPR.

Responsibilities

• Follow safe practices and enforce safety rules on site.
• Prepare truck and materials for daily operations.
• Perform professional tree maintenance as directed.
• Clear and trim trees/brush away from utility lines.
• Clean up debris and manage tools/equipment.
• Maintain safety and communicate with crew members.
• Assist with storm restoration work as needed.
