Job summary

Opterra Solutions, Inc. invites a skilled Commercial Drone Herbicide Applicator to join our Kentucky team. You will operate the AE Vision J-100 spray platform, perform field missions across multiple states, and ensure safe, on-label herbicide applications.

Qualifications

• Part 107 license required.
• Proven drone flight experience required.
• Experience with drone systems maintenance and safe UAV operation.
• Experience in herbicide applications, vegetation management, or related fields.
• Ability to travel regionally for extended or multi-day operations.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and safety awareness.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial spray drones safely and efficiently.
• Plan and execute flight missions.
• Mix and apply herbicides per label requirements.
• Troubleshoot and repair drone, battery, charger, and spray system issues.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections.
• Maintain flight, maintenance, and application records.
• Follow FAA, EPA, state, and company safety regulations.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
• Follow DOT and FAA rules and regulations.
• Ability to team-lift up to 120 lbs.
