Job summary

Glass Roots Construction (GRC) is seeking an Aerial Groundman local to the Austin–Porter, TX area to support overhead fiber optic and telecom networks from the ground. You will report to the Director of Operations and join an active, safety‑driven team dedicated to high‑quality work.

Responsibilities include assisting aerial linemen with materials and equipment, loading and organizing tools, operating reel trailers and pulling machines, maintaining a clean, safe site, and providing traffic

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Aerial Lineman in telecom or utility construction.
• Proficiency in using aerial construction tools and equipment.
• Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
• Familiarity with safety standards and procedures, including fall protection and electrical safety.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist aerial linemen with materials, tools, and equipment during installation and maintenance.
• Load, unload, and organize tools and materials at job sites.
• Operate basic equipment such as reel trailers, pulling machines, and small tools.
• Maintain a clean and safe job site by properly storing materials and disposing of waste.
• Provide traffic control and safety support as needed.
