Job summary

Glass Roots Construction, LLC in Porter, TX is hiring an Aerial Groundman to support field operations in the Austin & Porter area. You will assist aerial linemen, manage tools and materials, and help ensure safe, efficient construction of overhead fiber networks.

This non-exempt, hourly role offers a 22–27 USD per hour rate, day and night shifts, and travel between client sites. A valid driver's license and ability to work outdoors in heat are required. Training and safety are priorities at GRC.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Aerial Lineman in telecom or utility construction.
• Proficiency with aerial construction tools and equipment.
• Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
• Knowledge of fall protection and electrical safety standards.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Valid driver\'s license and ability to travel between sites.

Responsibilities

• Assist aerial linemen with materials, tools, and equipment.
• Load, unload, and organize tools and materials at job sites.
• Operate reel trailers, pulling machines, and small tools.
• Maintain a clean and safe job site and dispose of waste properly.
• Provide traffic control and safety support as needed.
• Follow foremen and linemen directions to complete tasks efficiently.
• Adhere to company and safety regulations, including PPE.
