What you’ll do as an Aerial Construction Laborer

• Perform general telecommunications construction duties: loading, driving, delivery, digging, removal, and placement of materials and equipment
• Install and repair aerial telecommunications cables
• Use hand tools and equipment safely, including wrenches, drills, ladders, and saws
• Operate mechanized equipment like bucket trucks and excavators
• Set up safety perimeters with signage, cones, and barriers
• Flag traffic when needed
• Work aloft using climbing hooks and ladders

What you’ll need

• Be 18 years or older
• Authorization to work in the US
• Valid driver’s license
• Construction experience, preferably in telecommunications
• Knowledge of aerial cable installation procedures
• Ability to climb poles and work in bucket trucks, up to 40 feet
• Ability to perform all telecommunications construction duties
• Lift/carry 50 lbs regularly, up to 100 lbs with assistance
• Set up and maintain safe work areas
• Work in all weather conditions

Physical abilities & exposures

• Extended standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting up to 50 lbs
• Work in extreme weather: heat, cold, rain, snow, wind
