Job summary

Northern Base is seeking an AEM Cloud Architect in Malvern, PA to lead enterprise migrations and design scalable AEM Cloud solutions. You will drive architecture, development of templates and components, and ensure robust integration with Adobe Experience Cloud and data pipelines.

The role demands hands-on leadership, deep AEM expertise, and the ability to optimize deployment pipelines, CDNs, and headless content delivery for large-scale deployments.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of AEM experience, including 3+ years with AEM as a Cloud Service.
• At least one completed AEM Cloud migration from AEM 6.x to AEM as a Cloud Service.
• Expert knowledge of AEM Cloud architecture, Cloud Manager, and deployment pipelines.
• Proficiency with AEM Development building blocks: HTL/Sightly, clientlibs, HTML, CSS and modern front-end technologies (JS/TS, ReactJS, NextJS).
• Knowledge of OSGi services, Sling Models, Servlets, Schedulers, Event Handlers.
• Experience with headless content design using Content Fragments, Experience Fragments, GraphQL.

Responsibilities

• Lead migration efforts from on-prem AEM 6.5 to AEM as a Cloud Service.
• Design and implement AEM templates, components, and OSGi services.
• Develop HTL templates, Sling Models, custom OSGi configurations, servlets, and schedulers.
• Design omnichannel and headless content delivery using Content Fragments, Experience Fragments and GraphQL.
• Configure Cloud Manager pipelines and repository synchronization.
• Optimize AEM Dispatcher and CDN configurations for performance and reliability.
• Integrate AEM with the Adobe Experience Cloud ecosystem.
• Support enterprise DAM implementations and integrations with AEM Sites.
• Establish AI-assisted development workflows for the team.

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

• Adobe Experience Cloud integrations experience with Adobe Data Collection - Tags, WebSDK, MobileSDK, Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target and AEP.
• Adobe OpenAPI experience for AEM Assets and AEM Sites communication.
• Exposure to AI tools within AEM as a Cloud Service.
• Modern CDN architecture and performance optimization expertise. CI/CD pipeline design and DevOps best practices. Experience with Adobe I/O and event-driven integrations.
• AEM Developer or Architect certifications.
