Job summary

Air Evac Lifeteam is hiring EMS helicopter pilots to operate in a high-stakes, mission-driven environment. You will fly rotorcraft under VFR, ensuring compliance with the Rotorcraft Flight Manual and applicable regulations while supporting patient relocation and emergency services.

Candidates should have extensive helicopter flight experience, commercial rotorcraft certificates, instrument rating, and a strong record in night operations.

Qualifications

• 2000 total flight hours; 1500 helicopter hours; 1000 hours PIC.
• 500 turbine hours; 100 night unaided (or 50 unaided with 100 aided).
• Previous HAA experience or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate the aircraft safely and efficiently in accordance with rotorcraft manuals and regulations.
• Monitor forecast changes and current weather conditions.
• Perform preflight inspections prior to shift or accepting transports or flights.
• Maintain readiness, stay current on weather and forecast changes.

Starting Salary Range: $88,759 - $97,635

Up to 55% geographic modifier, depending on location

JOB SUMMARY

Ensures all operations involving Company aircraft are in compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations, Air Evac EMS Operations Manual, and all state and municipal regulations.

• Operates the aircraft in a safe and efficient manner, with emphasis on compliance with the Rotorcraft Flight Manual
• Monitors forecast changes and current weather situations
• Conducts preflight of the aircraft prior to starting shift and/or accepting transports or flights. Preflight will be conducted utilizing the appropriate rotorcraft flight manual. Discrepancies noted during the pre-flight will be noted in the engineering log with a notification to maintenance of the discrepancy and what corrective action is being taken
• Reports to his/her shift rested and prepared for duty and stays current of weather and forecast changes

QUALIFICATIONS
