Job summary

BecTech, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer to support Aegis Combat Systems and missile software programs in Dahlgren, VA. The role focuses on upgrading targeting algorithms, flight profile optimizations, and datalink processing for integrated fire control.

Responsibilities include design, development, testing, and integration across missile software, Aegis Under Layer, and related systems, with emphasis on 6DOF simulations, real-time data processing, and robust software architecture.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship with Active Secret Clearance
• Bachelor’s Degree in STEM Field
• Aegis Combat System or Missile System experience
• Familiarity with collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence or Teams)

Responsibilities

• Address upgrading missile software with advanced targeting algorithms and data link processing for seamless fire control integration.
• Support design, development, testing and integration of software for missile and its incorporation into Aegis Under Layer and related systems.
• Oversee software for missile guidance, navigation and control, updating guidance laws, 6DOF flight simulations, and real-time sensor data processing.
• Contribute to software architecture, requirements analysis, detailed design, and code reviews.
• Assist in Aegis Under Layer and Aegis Guam/System integration and testing activities.
• Participate in flight tests and data analysis, manage design reviews and development backlogs.
• Define long-term technical strategies and roadmaps for software activities.
• Analyze Real World Events to determine necessary software changes.
