US Eye is seeking a full-time Ophthalmic Technician for a traveling position serving Washington, NC, Kinston, Elizabeth City, Kitty Hawk, and other North Carolina locations. The role emphasizes patient care, accuracy in testing, and teamwork with the ophthalmology team.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated with experience in scribing, patient work-up, vision testing, refracting, and OCT/visual field procedures, and can communicate effectively with patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Experience in a professional environment with strong customer service focus.
• Medical field experience preferred.
• High school or equivalent education.

Responsibilities

• Perform scribing and patient work-up for ophthalmic procedures.
• Conduct vision testing and refracting under physician supervision.
• Utilize ophthalmic terminology and assist physicians in the room.
• Support visual field testing and OCT testing as part of patient assessment.

Job Summary

We are seeking a full-time Ophthalmic Technician who is self-motivated and has a strong work ethic to join our successful surgical practice! Candidates must possess a positive professional attitude, ability to develop strong connections with our patients, treat patients with warmth and empathy, are team oriented and demonstrate the ability to learn quickly and apply complex concepts to their daily work. The right candidate will possess skills of an Ophthalmic Technician and will have experience in scribing, patient work-up, vision testing, refracting, medical terminology, assisting the physician in the room, visual field and OCT testing.

Education and Experience

• Experience within a professional environment with a strong customer service focus
• Previous experience within the medical field (preferred)
• High school or equivalent education
