YOUR ROLE

As the full-time Selling Team Leader, you are the Store Team Leader's "go-to" in developing and implementing the business strategy and leading the daily operations of the store. Your passion lies in training and coaching your team into high-performing sellers who consistently provide an unforgettable guest experience. Through your leadership, your team always meets their sales goals, maintains merchandising brand standards, and delivers operational excellence! Most importantly, you embody our company values and bring your authentic self to work every day.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Driving sales: As a key Leader on Duty (LOD), you excel at driving sales by maximizing Fitting Room and Salesfloor productivity and building guest loyalty through exceptional guest experiences. You analyze reporting and daily trends to make strategic business decisions and support the Store Team Leader in developing business plans to achieve KPIs.
  • People leadership: You motivate and inspire your team through AEO's core values, serve as a role model, and hold your team accountable for upholding AEO's customer service standards on the Salesfloor and in the Fitting Room.
  • Talent development: You prioritize recruiting and hiring strong talent, and you train and develop your team to ensure they provide outstanding service and grow professionally.
  • Teamwork: You foster a collaborative environment by providing ongoing performance feedback, conducting team touch bases, development plans, and performance reviews, and celebrating team successes to boost engagement.
  • Operational innovation: You support the execution of daily operational procedures, maintain visual standards, and ensure the Fitting Rooms are guest-ready and aligned with AEO Brand Standards.
  • Integrity: You uphold store safety standards, asset protection policies, and adhere to AEO's policies and procedures, always doing the right thing.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Passion for AE and Aerie products
  • Previous retail management experience
  • Strong multitasking, attention to detail, and time management skills
  • Leadership and team development abilities, with an understanding of employment law
  • Business acumen
  • Flexible availability to accommodate shopping hours
