Job summary

Youth Advocate Programs, Inc. is looking for part-time hourly advocates to serve youth and families in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Qualifications

Part-Time Hourly, Non-Exempt

Summary

Hourly, Part-Time positions serving youth and families throughout Elkhart County – Fort Wayne are available.

Responsibilities
  • Applicant must be dependable, committed, and able to serve as a positive role model for youth in the community, school, and home settings.
  • The primary responsibilities of the Advocate are to initiate, organize, plan, develop, and implement direct advocacy services to assigned participants and their families.
  • All service plans will be based on a strength‑based approach using the wrap‑around model.
  • This position offers flexible hours, competitive weekly pay, and activity reimbursement.
Compensation & Availability

Hourly Rate: $18.00

Availability: Flexible Hours; May require some evenings and weekend.

Qualifications / Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Experience in community work and knowledge of community resources.
  • Experience working with at‑risk youth.
  • Proficiency in computer skills; experience using an electronic health record (EHR) is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Requires reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance coverage (must be able to provide an Auto Declaration document).
  • Bilingual (Spanish-speaking) is a plus.
