Arabella Advisors seeks an Advocacy Compliance Associate Director to lead systems for tracking and reporting lobbying activity across federal, state, and local levels. The role partners with legal, compliance, account managers, and project staff to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in nonprofit lobbying regulations, strong interpersonal skills, and exceptional project management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent experience
• Minimum five years of work experience, at least two years related to nonprofit lobbying regulations and reporting/election law
• Impeccable interpersonal and client relationship skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Excellent project management skills
• Demonstrated financial acumen
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Ability to proactively problem-solve in a fast-paced environment
• Comfort with ambiguity and developing systems where they didn’t exist before
• High level of computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, Salesforce, and web-based tools

Responsibilities

• Design and manage systems to track activity and reporting deadlines for lobbying and elections
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather information for registrations and reports
• Oversee submission of reports to ensure accuracy and timeliness
• Develop guidelines for lobbying and reporting processes for staff use
• Provide guidance on requirements and coordinate with outside counsel
• Track guidance from outside counsel and engagements
• Create resources and quality controls to improve processes
• Monitor projects to ensure compliance with laws
• Collaborate across advocacy, compliance, legal, finance, and client service teams
• Contribute to operational innovations and knowledge management
