Job summary

Lenovo in Morrisville, NC seeks an accomplished cybersecurity professional to join our global team protecting AI-enabled products and services. You will lead technical security initiatives, implement controls, and participate in incident response while collaborating across IT, security, and product groups.

The role requires 8+ years in cybersecurity with hands-on experience in web, network, or system security, plus familiarity with AI security and cloud AI services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years in at least one: web apps, network, system admin, or security engineering.
• 4+ years in cybersecurity/information security.
• Certifications (CISSP/CISA/CISM/GIAC/CEH) preferred.
• AI security knowledge and cloud AI services (Azure, AWS) helpful.
• Familiar with frameworks ISMS/NIST and security controls.

Lenovo’s global cybersecurity team is seeking a highly skilled and motivated security professional who is passionate about protecting companies from today’s ever-increasing cyber threats. We are a diverse, global, and cross-functional team that embraces technology and enjoys complex challenges. Our growing team is involved in all aspects of modern cybersecurity. We solve complex problems and are Lenovo’s front line of defense against cyberattacks. We are looking for a forward-thinking, technically capable professional to develop, implement, and maintain advanced cybersecurity technical solutions, design effective security policies and procedures, conduct technical security assessments, investigate cyber incidents, lead security initiatives, and participate in incident response actions.

You will also play an active role in Lenovo’s vast Artificial Intelligence (AI) endeavors. Please note this is not an entry-level position. A successful candidate must have significant cybersecurity experience and strong technical competence. Working level experience with generative artificial intelligence solutions is necessary.

Responsibilities:

• Assist Lenovo with the cybersecurity aspects of its responsible AI objectives
• Assist in the design, implementation, and deployment of technical controls to protect Lenovo
• Conduct project technical security assessments and provide guidance
• Conduct third-party security assessments
• Create and maintain technical security standardsAssist in incident response processes
• Security operations assistance as needed
• Domestic and international travel may be required (~5%) for technical meetings, workshops, and onsite collaboration activities
• Bring a passion to learn and stay on top of cybersecurity threats and trends
• Bring discipline and dedication to ensure programs are secure and meet goals

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information technology, Information Security, or related software engineering field, or equivalent experience
• 8+ years of technical experience in at least one of the following:
• Web application development, deployment, and support
• Network design, deployment, and administration
• System administration (Linux or Windows)
• Security engineering
• 4+ years of cybersecurity and/or information security experience
• Current Certification in relevant field of Information Securityand/or Cybersecurity(e.g. CISSP; CISA; CISM; GIAC; CEH; Security) preferred
• Reasonable working knowledge of AI, cybersecurity, and solution design as it pertains to Artificial intelligence
• Reasonable working knowledge of cloud-based AI service providers (ex. Azure, AWS, AliCloud)
• General knowledge of cybersecurity controls frameworks (e.g. IS027001, NIST)
• Technical experience in modern Generative AI solutions and platforms
• Technical experience leading global security initiatives
• Cybersecurity operations and incident response experience
• Vulnerability management experience
• Hands-on experience with a wide range of security tools
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Basic Requirements:

• 4+ years of cybersecurity and/or information security experience
