We are seeking an creative, motivated, and eager Pharmacometrics Scientist to join our team. As a functional leader in clinical development, you will play a pivotal role from candidate selection through clinical post-drug approval.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advocate for Model-Informed Drug Development (MIDD) approaches both internally and externally.
    • Drive significant advancements in clinical drug development programs through innovative population PK/PD modeling and simulation approaches.
    • Engage with regulatory agencies to support drug development strategies based on modelling and simulation.
  • Provide PK/PD & Pharmacometrics scientific leadership to project teams to guide the selection of the right target, molecule, dose, patient population, and development approaches.
  • Influence decision-making through collaboration on cross-functional teams, including close collaboration with discovery PMx.
  • Mentor other scientists and collaborate with academia.
  • Represent the group to increase visibility externally through key publications, active leadership in key scientific organizations, industry trade groups, or consortia.

Basic Qualifications:

  • PhD in relevant scientific field such as pharmacometrics, pharmacology, biological/pharmaceutical sciences, bioengineering, biostatistics, computer science/engineering, data science, or a related field
  • Training or experience in population PK modeling and exposure-response modeling

Additional Skills/Preferences:

  • The level of the position will be determined based on the years of experience in the field.
  • Proficiency in using NONMEM (or Monolix) and R. Experience with other relevant modeling and simulation software (e.g., Julia, Phoenix NLME, MATLAB, Simbiology, SIMCYP, WinNonLin, etc.) will be highly appreciated.
  • Demonstrated excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively convey theories and concepts related to the pharmacometrics field to individuals who may not be familiar with the subject
  • Adept at working with cross-functional colleagues, demonstrating strong teamwork and the ability to create collaborative effects within the team.
  • Strong self-management and organizational skills.
  • Experience supervising other scientists is preferred but not required.

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is

$142,500 - $228,800

Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
