Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
  • Five or more years of experience in marketing technology and automation.
  • Experience with Adobe Experience Cloud and Adobe Experience Manager is required; Braze or similar tools preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of APIs, databases, version control, and SDLC principles.
  • Experience with marketing automation, lifecycle marketing, CRM platforms, CDPs, and personalization.

Job description

The Advisor, Marketing (Developer) executes, implements, and optimizes marketing technology solutions that enable automated, data-driven customer engagement across acquisition and lifecycle programs. This role translates strategic business requirements into scalable workflows, system integrations, customer journeys, and technical capabilities that support personalization, operational efficiency, and business growth. The Advisor partners with Marketing, Data, IT, Compliance, and external vendors to deliver seamless customer experiences through marketing automation, orchestration, personalization, and analytics capabilities. The position works hybrid and reports to Oriental Center in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Build and implement end-to-end marketing automation workflows, including campaign setup, journey configuration, triggers, and execution logic across platforms (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Experience Manager, etc.).
  • Apply software development and system development lifecycle (SDLC) best practices to support, test, troubleshoot, and optimize marketing technology solutions and integrations.
  • Translate business and marketing requirements into technical specifications and scalable solutions for campaign execution, personalization, and customer journey activation.
  • Configure and manage customer journeys across email, SMS, push, and web channels, ensuring accurate logic, sequencing, and trigger-based activation.
  • Implement and maintain data integrations, flows, segmentation, and targeting logic to ensure accurate customer data is available and campaigns reach intended audiences.
  • Partner with the MarTech Advisor to implement orchestration frameworks that support lifecycle and acquisition strategies.
  • Implement experimentation frameworks, including A/B testing, personalization rules, and performance-tracking capabilities.
  • Perform quality assurance testing for campaigns, customer journeys, and data flows, validating accuracy, timing, and end-to-end execution prior to launch.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot technical issues across marketing platforms to ensure system reliability, deliverability, and performance continuity.
  • Support the implementation of UTMs, pixels, event tracking, and tagging to ensure accurate measurement and attribution.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, IT, Data, Compliance, and external vendors on integrations, platform enhancements, and scalability, while maintaining technical documentation, processes, and best practices.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related field required.
  • Five (5+) years of experience in Marketing Technology, Marketing Automation, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Customer Engagement Platforms, Marketing Operations, or related disciplines required.
  • Minimum education and experience requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience.
  • Experience with Adobe Experience Cloud and Adobe Experience Manager required; experience with Braze or equivalent marketing automation and customer engagement platforms preferred.
  • Knowledge of software development fundamentals, including APIs, databases, version control, testing, security, and system development lifecycle methodologies.
  • Experience with marketing automation, lifecycle marketing, CRM platforms, Customer Data Platforms (CDPs), customer journey orchestration, segmentation, and personalization.
  • Experience with APIs, system integrations, and data flow management, including basic to intermediate SQL skills for data validation, troubleshooting, and analysis.
  • Working knowledge of HTML and CSS, including the ability to troubleshoot email-related issues.
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics, tagging strategies, UTM frameworks, event tracking, attribution, and digital measurement methodologies.
  • Experience supporting A/B testing, experimentation frameworks, performance tracking, data governance, privacy requirements, and applicable regulatory compliance standards.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions and identify opportunities for automation and continuous improvement.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, organization, and documentation skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
