Job summary

The Fitzpatrick Group seeks a Director of Advisor Selection & Growth in Houston to identify, attract, and develop top financial advisory talent. This role focuses on relationship-building, growing leadership capabilities, and shaping talent strategy to drive firm growth.

You will lead talent acquisition, selection, and development initiatives, partnering with leadership to hire and onboard with a strong employer brand in a competitive market.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, staffing, business development, sales, or financial services.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to identify and assess talent beyond what appears on a résumé.
• Self-motivated and highly organized.
• Comfortable networking and building relationships with professionals from diverse backgrounds.
• Passion for helping people grow personally and professionally.

Responsibilities

• Identify and attract high-performing financial advisors, sales professionals, recruiters, operations professionals, and future leaders.
• Build talent pipelines through networking, referrals, social media, LinkedIn Recruiter, career fairs, and community outreach.
• Develop recruiting strategies that support the firm's short-term and long-term growth goals.
• Create a consistent flow of qualified candidates for current and future opportunities.
• Conduct candidate interviews and evaluations.
• Assess candidates for character, coachability, competitiveness, leadership potential, and cultural alignment.
• Guide candidates through the interview, licensing and registration process.
• Partner with leadership to make informed hiring decisions.
• Build and refine selection systems, interview scorecards, and assessments.
• Help new team members successfully transition into the organization.
• Work alongside leadership to improve the candidate and onboarding experience.
• Strengthen our employer brand throughout the Houston market.
• Establish relationships with colleges, universities, professional organizations, and community groups.
• Contribute to the continued growth and development of our firm's culture.
