Job summary

Gainwell Technologies is hiring a Senior Full Stack Engineer (.NET, React, AWS) to lead and implement secure, scalable healthcare applications. You will work across React/TypeScript and .NET stacks, shape API design, and drive cloud-native delivery for Medicaid initiatives.

You will mentor engineers, enforce architecture and security standards, and partner with product teams to deliver impactful solutions. This is a fully remote US-based role with some travel and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of application development with technical leadership experience.
• Proficiency in C#/.NET and JavaScript/TypeScript including React and APIs.
• Experience with cloud-native engineering, AWS, PostgreSQL, and automated delivery.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical leadership for secure, scalable applications in Medicaid DDI and Provider Plus delivery.
• Lead design and implementation standards across React/TypeScript, .NET, APIs, data, and AWS workloads.
• Review designs, code, test evidence, and production risk; resolve defects and performance issues.
• Guide multi-tenant architecture, feature flags, versioning, and legacy interface compatibility.
• Mentor engineers and communicate decisions, risks, tradeoffs across product and DDI teams.

Your role in our mission

Gainwell’s innovative, purpose-built technologies and solutions could begin with you in this challenging position.

• Provide senior technical leadership for secure, scalable applications supporting Medicaid DDI and modernized Provider Plus delivery. Combine hands-on engineering, design review and AI-assisted development to improve productivity while enforcing architecture, security, testing and production-readiness standards.
• Lead application design and implementation standards across React/TypeScript, .NET 10/C#, APIs, data, integrations and AWS workloads.
• Review complex designs, code, test evidence and technical specifications; resolve defects, performance issues and production risks.
• Guide multi-tenant architecture, configuration-driven behavior, feature flags, versioning and compatibility with required legacy interfaces.
• Guide PostgreSQL modeling, conversion/reconciliation, REST and event-driven integrations, Glue/Spark batch workloads and Kafka/MSK patterns.
• Establish Terraform, CI/CD, automated quality gates, observability, secure logging, vulnerability remediation and release controls.
• Mentor engineers and communicate technical decisions, risks, tradeoffs and recommendations across product and DDI teams.

What we're looking for

• 9+ years of Application Development, including Technical Leadership .Expert hands-on
• C#/.NET and JavaScript/TypeScript experience, including React, APIs and cloud-native engineering .Advanced PostgreSQL/SQL, integration, AWS and automated-delivery
• experience.Medicaid, Medicare, MMIS/MES or regulated healthcare
• experience preferred.

The pay range for this position is $86,800.00 - $124,000.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
