The outgoing and service-oriented Retail Attendant provides fast and courteous service to our guests interested in purchasing a souvenir to remember their experience.

We are currently looking for a:

Adventureland Park - Retail Attendant

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Welcome and greet all guests with a smile as they enter retail locations
2. Initiate conversations with guests and assist with any questions they may have regarding our merchandise or souvenirs
3. Maintain a general knowledge of all available merchandise to assist guests with questions regarding our products
4. Attempt to increase revenue by utilizing various sales techniques, such as suggestive selling or upselling
5. Resolve guest concerns in a courteous and prompt manner
6. Promptly communicate potential issues or complaints to retail or park leadership, as needed
7. Operate all POS equipment accurately to finalize all purchases
8. Ensure merchandise is well stocked, organized, and presentable
9. Refold or rehang clothing items as necessary
10. Ensure the retail locations are clean and safe for our guests
11. Operate mobile retail carts, when applicable
12. Ensure that the retail space is free of tripping hazards or any other threats that could potentially injure a guest or another employee
13. All other duties assigned by leadership

Education & Experience:

1. No education required
2. Previous work experience is not required

Language: Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English; Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus.

Requirements:

1. Must be at least 14 years of age to comply with Iowa Child Labor Laws
2. Ability to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
3. Must have reliable transportation to and from your scheduled shift
4. Ability to comply with all uniform policies
5. Must possess exceptional customer service skills, with an ability to resolve questions, problems, issues, and concerns in a positive and professional manner
6. Ability to positively engage with guests to promote sales and customer satisfaction
7. Previous experience with Point of Sale (POS) technology and PCI compliance a plus
8. Ability to follow direction, multi-task, and work as part of a team as well as independently

Physical Requirements:

1. Ability to stand, walk, and remain on feet for majority of the workday
2. Ability to frequently stoop, twist, kneel, bend, squat, or reach above shoulders
3. Ability to carry, push, pull, lift, and hold objects weighing 30 pounds or more

Working Conditions:

1. This role will be based in one or more retail locations throughout the park, with exposure to both indoor and outdoor environments
2. Frequent exposure to the variable outside temperatures, including high heat, cold, direct sun, humidity, dust, rain, snow, ice, and other weather conditions
3. Some exposure to dust and chemical cleaning agents
