Job summary

Storyteller Overland is seeking an entry-level Mechanical Assembly Technician to join our team assembling 4WD expedition vehicle chassis and living quarters. You will collaborate with the technical team on prototype builds, chassis upgrades, and install four-wheel-drive components for rugged off-road vans.

Ideal candidates have automotive experience, basic diesel knowledge, and the ability to read drawings. AAS/associate degree or relevant experience is preferred; ASE certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• AAS technical/Trade degree or equivalent experience.
• Automotive experience is a must.
• Diesel training is preferred but not required.
• Ability to read electrical/mechanical drawings and manuals.
• Willingness to learn additional technical skills.
• Able to follow process instructions accurately.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Upgrade Sprinter chassis suspension for better handling.
• Install four-wheel-drive kits with drivetrain components.
• Modify chassis and cab structures for expedition vehicles.
• Install aftermarket components like bumpers, racks, winches.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings and schematics.
• Work with Engineering to troubleshoot during builds.
• Ensure safety and quality per specs.
