Job summary

Associated Students, Inc. (ASI) seeks an Adventures Trip Lead Assistant to promote and support on-campus outdoor programs at Cal Poly Pomona’s BRIC.

You will assist Adventures Trip Leads across front country, backcountry, day, and overnight trips, delivering safe, engaging instruction in a student-centered environment. Role requires current Red Cross CPR for Professional Rescuers and Oxygen certification within 30 days, outstanding customer service, and the ability to work with a diverse campus

Qualifications

• Current American Red Cross CPR for Professional Rescuers certification and Administering Emergency Oxygen certification within 30 days of hire (training provided by ASI)
• Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work with ethnically diverse student population and campus community

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and delivering adventures outdoor programs for varying levels of technical ability
• Ensure programs begin and end on time with pre-trip obligations completed
• Assist with trip itineraries, equipment checks, weather assessments, and post-course evaluations
• Maintain equipment and assist with administrative tasks related to the rental program and trainings
