Job summary

MedCadre seeks a skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide OT services under the supervision of a licensed OT. The COTA will help patients improve functional abilities, independence, mobility, and daily living skills through individualized therapeutic interventions.

This full-time position requires active COTA licensure, NBCOT certification, and BLS. You will collaborate with OTs, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support safe, patient-centered

Qualifications

Associate degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant is required.
NBCOT certification is required.
BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

Implement treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist.
Provide therapeutic exercises and activities to improve strength, coordination, mobility, and functional skills.
Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and functional tasks.
Train patients in adaptive techniques, assistive devices, and safety strategies.
Monitor patient response to treatment and report progress or concerns to the supervising OT.
Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, home programs, and safe functional techniques.
Collaborate with OTs, physicians, nurses, PTs, and other healthcare professionals.
Maintain accurate treatment documentation in the EMR.
