Job summary

The International School of San Francisco is seeking an Assistant Director of Advancement to lead its annual giving program. Reporting to the Director of Advancement, you will strategize, execute, and grow philanthropy from current parents, alumni, grandparents, faculty, and friends.

The role requires in-person work with some nights and weekends and involves coordinating campaigns, donors, events, and communications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3–5 years in development/advancement with success in annual giving.
• Solid knowledge of fundraising databases, Raiser's Edge.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Experience with relationship cultivation and solicitation.
• Experience in independent schools, higher education, or nonprofit advancement.
• Ability to travel, nights, and weekend events.

Responsibilities

• Manage the current Annual Giving Campaign including Annual Fund and Spring Fundraising event.
• Plan and develop future campaigns to grow giving.
• Manage a leadership-level donor portfolio for cultivation and solicitation.
• Identify major gift prospects for larger gifts and capital campaigns.
• Develop and manage an integrated Annual Fund calendar and events.
• Create multi-channel fundraising strategies for various constituencies.
• Lead Spring Fundraising event planning and execution.
• Oversee volunteers and training, update materials for training.
• Coordinate donor stewardship and recognition to strengthen retention.
• Collaborate with Advancement and Marketing on donor communications and impact stories.
• Analyze fundraising performance to inform strategy and goals.
