The Advancement Data Specialist supports our mission by ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and usefulness of donor data, enabling effective fundraising, stewardship, and financial transparency. This work strengthens donor relationships and equips the organization to make informed, mission-driven decisions that sustain vital services for the community.
This is a remote position that requires candidates to live within our 3-state operating area of Oregon, Washington or Idaho and be able to occasionally travel to our offices within OR, WA & ID.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Enter and Maintain Accurate Donor Data: Perform daily and routine data entry, updates, and maintenance of donor records in the CRM system.
● Ensure Data Integrity and Consistency: Monitor data quality, resolve duplicate records, and uphold standards for coding, flags, and segmentation.
● Process Donor Contributions and Acknowledgments: Partner with finance to record gifts accurately and manage the timely generation of acknowledgment letters.
● Collaborate Across Teams to Support Data Needs: Work closely with advancement, finance, and other departments to ensure CRM data supports organizational goals.
● Manage Pre- and Post-Event Needs: Support fundraising staff with operational needs related to events including supporting a range of fundraising platforms and event processing.
● Support Reporting and Dashboards: Maintain simple dashboards that track donor activity and key advancement metrics.
● Assist with Donor Research and Profile Updates: Conduct donor research and prepare reports on donor engagement, ensuring all information in current in CRM database; update profiles with research findings to support stewardship and engagement strategies.

REQUIREMENTS:
● 1 year of related experience; data entry, ideally in donor/customer databases in a nonprofit or fundraising setting
● HS diploma or equivalent
● Fluency in English and additional language(s) as outlined in the job posting, both spoken and written; clear verbal and written communication, especially around data reporting
● Intermediate mastery of business applications and productivity suites; familiarity with donor CRM systems (e.g. Neon, Salesforce NPSP, Raiser’s Edge, DonorPerfect); strong
skills in Excel and data visualization/reporting tools; demonstrated ability to quickly master new software and technology
● Works well independently with high quality and attention to detail, especially in data entry and recordkeeping; ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights
● Demonstrates resilience, awareness and self-regulation in navigating challenges, conflict and obstacles/barriers.
● Thrives in a diverse and multicultural environment; works with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies to enhance end-user experiences throughout the service lifecycle; and ensures excellence in customer service

● Successfully completes tasks in a low noise environment
● Interacts with others and performs tasks in-person and through the use of technology, with long periods of stationary activity and minimal periods of increased physical activity including and not limited to sitting, standing and walking
● Moves equipment/materials weighing up to 25 pounds
● Travels between worksites occasionally
● Works in a variety of settings, including and not limited to LCSNW office locations, partner agency and community-based settings, and faith-based settings such as churches
● Meets LCSNW criminal background clearance requirements and other job-relevant clearances as required by the State or program
Compensation ranges are based on the area is which the candidate resides and are as follows:
Spokane, WA and Boise, ID: Minimum is $24.98 / Maximum is $37.46
Portland, OR/Vancouver, WA: Minimum is $26.22 / Maximum is $39.34
Seattle/Tacoma/Everett: Minimum is $28.73 / Maximum is $43.09
