Job summary

Management & Training Corporation in Clearfield, UT is seeking a Welding Instructor to teach SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, GTAW to youth aged 16-24. This full-time role requires certification and a passion for helping students develop practical welding skills.

You will plan lessons, maintain a safe shop, advise students, and coordinate with counselors. A Utah teaching certificate with welding endorsement and relevant 6G credentials are required.

Qualifications

• Must have experience teaching welding to youth and strong communication skills.
• Utah teaching certificate with welding endorsement and AWS/NCCER credentials.
• Experience working with youth and good written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide students with direction, instruction, and assistance in designated areas of instruction.
• Motivate and counsel students in areas of behavior, training, personal problems, or study habits.
• Coordinate with counselors and staff to resolve issues affecting student training and/or instruction.
• Develop and prepare lessons in accordance with approved curriculum guidelines, recommend curricula changes, and supplemental materials.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe training environment.

What you’ll be doing:

Teaching youth, 16-24 years of age in the welding processes of SMAW, GMAW, GMAW/SPRAY, FCAWG. FCAWS and GTAW in the D . 1 . 1 structural welding code. This is an opportunity to teach today's youth a career that has always been and remains in high demand in today’s industry.

Essential Functions

Education And Experience Requirements

• HSD/ GED required
• Utah state teaching certificate with an endorsement in Welding or Certified Welding Inspector (CWI), Certified Welding Educator (CWE) through American Welding Society (AWS), or National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) Certified Craft Instructor. In addition, must have 6G Certification in SMAW and GMAW or FCAW-G, and be familiar with the American Petroleum Institute (API) code
• Experience with youth, excellent written and verbal communications skills and computer proficiency required.
• A valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.
