Job summary

Applied Materials, Inc. seeks an experienced Welder II to join our Kalispell, MT manufacturing team. This full-time role focuses on operating TIG, MIG and Oxy-Acetylene welding equipment, reading engineering drawings, and fabricating welded assemblies for complex frames.

Must be able to operate TIG, MIG, and Oxy Acetylene welding equipment.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Proficiency with measuring equipment and shop tools.
Maintain cleanliness and conform to safety requirements.

Responsibilities

Operate TIG, MIG and Oxy Acetylene welding equipment and common shop tools such as grinders, sanders and hydraulic straightening equipment.
Train Welder I and Welder II.
Read and understand engineering drawings and troubleshoot drawing issues.
Use measuring equipment (tape measure, framing square, straight edge, calipers, laser level) and shop tools to cut stock for assemblies.
Fabricate all miscellaneous welded assemblies and simple frame assemblies.
Maintain cleanliness of the work area and ensure proper handling of tools and stock; conform to safety requirements.
