Job summary

TechnipFMC is seeking a skilled welder to perform advanced welding tasks across metal and weldable materials. You will interpret part reports and welding procedures to cut, join, surface, and repair components per manufacturing standards.

The role requires completing qualification tests per ASME IX, auditing quality and safety, and maintaining a high 5S standard in a shop environment. Strong reading and comprehension of technical documents is essential.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Trade School or Welding Apprentice Program preferred; typically 3+ years welding experience.
  • Must pass ASME Section IX performance qualification tests for at least 3 weld processes.
  • Must read, write, and comprehend English.
  • Must understand engineering drawings, weld procedures, bills of material and work orders.

Responsibilities

  • Complete work activities using experience and judgement to meet production schedules and standards.
  • Join surfaces, fabricate, or repair parts using advanced welding skills per reports and weld procedures.
  • Consistently meet or exceed quality, safety, and production requirements.
  • Lay out and mark weld points on parts/subassemblies using rulers and templates.
  • Position pieces in jigs and fixtures using measuring instruments and hand tools.
  • Inspect completed work for conformance and document findings in a timely manner.
