Job summary

METTLER TOLEDO is seeking a Welder III for the Masstron Producing Organization (MTMS) to perform advanced welding, interpret complex blueprints, and lead small teams. You will set up welding equipment, inspect welds, and collaborate with engineering to resolve production issues.

The role emphasizes 5S/Lean participation, safety compliance, and capability to mentor junior welders. Shift: 2nd shift; 3:00 PM–1:30 AM. High school diploma and welding program experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with 4+ years in manufacturing/industrial setting.
• Trade school/Apprenticeship and 5–15 years experience preferred or completion of an accredited welding program with 4+ years experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced welding operations on a variety of materials.
• Interpret and analyze complex blueprints, schematics and engineering specifications.
• Set up and calibrate welding equipment and tools.
• Conduct thorough inspections of welds and components to meet industry quality standards.
• Provide support and guidance to Level 1 and Level 2 welders.
• Participate in advanced 5S and Lean initiatives.
• Lead small groups in problem statement creation and CI project implementation.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve technical issues and improve processes.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the team.
• Perform Welder 1 and Welder 2 tasks when necessary.
• Other duties may be assigned.
