Job summary

Peak Utility Services Group is seeking a skilled welder to join our team supporting gas, electric, and telecommunications infrastructure projects. The role requires five or more years of welding experience and three or more years in the gas/oil industry.

Candidates must pass API-1104 and ASME B31 tests and can obtain a valid state driver's license within two weeks. You will work with welding rigs and cutting equipment, reading blueprints and applying metallurgy knowledge.

Qualifications

• Five or more years welding experience.
• Three or more years experience in the gas or oil industry.
• Must pass API-1104 and ASME B31 welding tests.
• Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State Driver's License within two weeks of employment.
• Candidates must pass criminal and MVR background checks and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Welds components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Works with welding and related equipment.
• Prepares materials and ensures surfaces are clean before welding.
• Examines workpieces and measures to ensure conformity with specs.
• Monitors welding process to prevent overheating, warping, or distortion.
• Analyzes drawings, blueprints, and specifications to plan layout and welding operations.
