Job summary

Carrier's Charlotte manufacturing site is seeking a skilled Welder/Brazer II to join our team. This role focuses on end-to-end metal assembly, from layout to weld, with emphasis on Pulsed MIG, Short-arc MIG and Submerged Arc welding.

You will work onsite on 2nd shift, with weekends and overtime as required, and ensure safety, quality and productive workflows. Opportunities to apply brazing and finishing skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in manufacturing welding (Pulsed MIG, Short-arc MIG or SAW).
• Pass onsite training for Overhead Crane Operation and 6G weld test.
• Able to weld in awkward positions and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Execute welded assemblies using Pulsed MIG, Short-arc MIG and SAW.
• Perform layout and fit-up with fixtures and jigs for accuracy.
• Maintain safety, clean workspace and report hazards.
