Mission Technologies, a division of HII, is seeking an Advanced Weapons Elevators (AWE) Electrician in Chesapeake, VA. In this full-time, hourly position, you will be responsible for installing, operating, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems for Navy vessels. The role requires travel to shipyards and military bases.
Qualified candidates should have at least 8 years of experience, a high school education or equivalent, and expertise in marine electrical systems. A DoD security clearance will be necessary.

As an Advanced Weapons Elevators (AWE) Electrician with our Elevator Support Unit (ESU), you will provide task support by installing, operating, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems. This full‑time hourly position is located in Chesapeake, VA. Selected candidates will be required to travel to shipyards and military bases across the country and abroad when not assigned to a local task.
Must be able to lift, carry and transport heavy equipment and boxes. Minimum weight 30 lbs. Able to work on and climb ladders, work in extreme temperature environments, aboard ships, in shipyards, under industrial conditions and confined spaces. Able to perform duties involving high heat, humidity, noise and dirty conditions, working aloft or over the sides of vessels. May ride ships at sea for extended periods. May require wearing a respirator. Travel may be required within and outside the continental United States.
