Cummins Inc. is hiring an Advanced Warehouse Operator - Level II – SHOP in North Charleston, SC. You will handle receiving, inspection, sorting, labeling, and storage with emphasis on accuracy and efficiency.

The role supports on-time delivery through careful picking, packing, and shipping while maintaining safety and quality standards. You will operate powered industrial vehicles, participate in continuous improvement, and collaborate closely with peers and support teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certification to operate powered industrial vehicles (reach trucks, order pickers, pallet rider).
• Licensing may be required for export controls or sanctions regulations.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and process incoming goods; resolve discrepancies.

Job description

We are looking for a talented Advanced Warehouse Operator - Level II – SHOP to join our team specializing in Logistics for our Cummins Inc. facility in North Charleston, SC.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Ensure accurate receiving, inspection, and system processing of incoming goods, quickly identifying and resolving damage or invoice discrepancies.


• Maintain organized inventory by accurately sorting, labeling, storing, and arranging materials to maximize warehouse efficiency and space utilization.


• Support on-time customer delivery by safely picking, packing, and shipping products according to operational and customer requirements.


• Promote a strong safety culture by following HSE standards, using proper PPE, reporting hazards, and addressing risks within your control.


• Protect product quality by performing inspections, following standard work procedures, and identifying and controlling non-conforming materials.


• Achieve operational excellence by consistently meeting established production, cycle time, and engineering performance standards.


• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by actively identifying opportunities to enhance safety, quality, material flow, and overall processes.


• Strengthening team performance through effective communication, collaboration with peers and support teams, equipment care, and maintaining a clean, organized work environment.

Education/Experience

• High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.


• Requires certification to operate powered industrial vehicles (reach trucks, order pickers, pallet rider, etc.) and/or other heavy machinery.


• This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.


• Requires some work experience or intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience.

Additional Information

• Delivering material needs to salvage and disassembly lines within the plant.


• Delivering box/packaging materials to the box build cell.
