Job summary

WVUH West Virginia University Hospitals is seeking a Vascular Sonographer - Level I to perform advanced non-invasive vascular imaging and contribute to accurate diagnoses within the Vascular Laboratory.

The role requires ARDMS or CCI certification, at least two years of vascular sonography experience, and BLS within 30 days of hire. The position includes 40 scheduled hours per week in a varied shift, United States of America (Non-Exempt).

Qualifications

• Registered RVT or RVS certification required.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire date.
• Two years of vascular sonography experience required.

Responsibilities

• Performs advanced non-invasive imaging procedures for Vascular Laboratories.
• Performs proper billing of procedures and prioritizes patient scheduling.
• Coordinates and prioritizes patient scheduling to ensure timely procedure completion.
• Obtains information and informs patients about procedures prior to testing and maintains courtesy.
• Documents procedures in the patient chart to inform physicians of test completion.
• Calculates measurements of vascular structures to aid diagnosis.
• Maintains equipment and work areas in a clean, organized state.
• Completes accurate documentation through EPIC for billing.
• Participates in education and in-service opportunities to maintain knowledge.
• Provides preliminary report on studies in a timely manner and reviews with the physician.
• Follows vascular protocols and participates in training of ultrasound techniques.
