Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of one year program in Ultrasound; Registered or eligible to take the ARDMS Registry exam within 1 year of hire date or equivalent education/experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides for patient comfort and prepares equipment for procedures following departmental procedures.
• Maximize exam quality by following NYU Langone Medical Center guidelines.
• Maintains high image quality by adhering to standards of care.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Maintains reliable attendance and punctuality; adheres to health requirements and dress code.
• Maintains and sterilizes ultrasound equipment; performs preventative maintenance.
• Documents vascular exams, mounts scans, and informs physician of findings.
• Operates computerized ultrasound equipment and recording devices; assesses vascular anatomy and hemodynamics; alerts staff to abnormalities.
