Job summary

Acara Solutions seeks an experienced Advanced Technical Scrum Master to support highly complex defense-focused engineering programs in Canonsburg, PA. You will lead Agile execution across hardware, software, and firmware teams and facilitate Scrum and SAFe ceremonies.

• 3+ years leading Agile teams and facilitating Scrum ceremonies.
• 3+ years applying Agile methods in engineering/software contexts.
• 2+ years supporting cross-functional engineering teams (hardware/software/firmware).
• 2+ years creating and reporting project metrics and dashboards.
• 2+ years using Excel/Power BI for reporting.
• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Engineering, CS, Math, or related field.

Job Requirements

What You'll Bring

• 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Lead, Project Engineer, Systems Engineer, Software Engineer, or related technical leadership role with a Bachelor's degree, OR 3+ years of experience with a Master's degree
• 3+ years of experience leading Agile teams and facilitating Scrum ceremonies
• 3+ years of experience utilizing Agile methodologies within engineering, software development, systems engineering, or technical product environments
• 2+ years of experience supporting cross‑functional engineering teams involving hardware, software, firmware, or systems disciplines
• 2+ years of experience creating, maintaining, and reporting project metrics, dashboards, or performance data
• 2+ years of experience using Excel, Power BI, or similar reporting and visualization tools
• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field

What Sets You Apart

• SAFe*, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PMI-ACP, or equivalent Agile certifications
• Experience implementing Agile practices within a Department of Defense or government‑contracted environment
• Experience supporting large‑scale engineering development programs
• Experience preparing cost and schedule estimates for technical projects
• Strong facilitation, consensus‑building, and stakeholder management skills
• Experience with data analytics, dashboarding, and reporting tools
• Knowledge of AI‑enabled process improvement, automation, or operational excellence initiatives
• Experience mentoring teams through Agile adoption and transformation efforts
