Location

Primary Location: Our Kennesaw campus at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144.
Marietta campus: 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

Job Summary

Responsible for providing swimming instruction at the University's recreational facilities. May coach the master's swim team. Ensures participant safety through supervision and communicates with parents and participants before and/or after sessions.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, and teaches 'Learn-to-Swim' sessions
• May coach the master's swim team
• Performs mid-session and final evaluations
• Cleans the teaching area after lessons
• Completes all records and reports
• Maintains contact with parents/guardians via email and phone

Required Qualifications

Basic Instructor certification from the American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor program. Advanced Instructor certifications such as USA Swimming Coach, US Masters Swimming coach, or similar qualifications are preferred.

Experience

Basic Instructor: lifeguard or swimming instruction experience. Advanced Instructor: extensive swimming instruction or coaching experience.

Salary

Summer rate: $16.00/hr (May 11 - Aug 17). Post-summer: $13.00/hr.
