Responsibilities

• Collaborates with the Registered Nurse to update the nursing plan of care.
• Maintains knowledge of emergency protocols for emergent procedures.
• Participates in peer review and contributes to policy development.

Skills

Knowledge of decontamination, packaging and sterilization of instrumentation

Ability to follow Infection Control policies

Ability to assess patient care needs

Ability to exercise proper sterile technique

Knowledge of equipment utilization and supply management
